Clare joined Lift in 2004, having previously worked as Creative lead at an information design studio in London. Her focus is on clear communication and solving complex information design challenges, including forms design and typographic projects. She has a particular interest in strategic, usable and ethical design. Since 2013 Clare split her time working at Lift and the Centre for Information Design Research at the University of Reading. She has recently completed an MA(Research) in Typography & Graphic Communication, at the University of Reading where she researched educational apps and the use of mobile devices in primary schools.
When Clare is not working she is usually ‘making’ something, baking bread or cycling with her children.
